Sharing Stories on the Move

The Upper Valley has always hummed with the quiet energy of people on the move, from morning commuters to weekend explorers. At Advance Transit, we love being part of those everyday journeys. Now, thanks to a previous collaboration with Junction Arts & Media (JAM), we’re inviting riders and neighbors to discover even more of what our region has to offer.

A while back, our team at AT joined creative forces with the storytellers at JAM to produce a collection of short, informative videos made for anyone curious about riding fare-free public transit. Think of them as pocket-sized guides, each one crafted to make hopping on the bus feel effortless and welcoming. They walk viewers through the basics, from planning a trip to boarding the bus with confidence. Along the way, they shine a light on some of the Upper Valley’s beloved spots that you can reach simply by taking a seat, relaxing, and letting a bus do the driving.

This collaboration highlights something close to the hearts of both organizations: the power of community and the value of access. Advance Transit works every day to make transportation available to all, while JAM amplifies local voices and stories. These videos bring those missions together, helping neighbors feel more connected, informed, and included in the daily life of the Upper Valley.

The project was made possible through a grant from the Vermont Agency of Transportation, whose support allowed us to bring these helpful guides to life. With their help, we paired practical transit know-how with JAM’s flair for visual storytelling. The result feels a little like opening a friendly neighborhood door: step in, take a look around, and learn something useful.
