Construction Update: How Road Work Is Affecting Your Ride
We know that getting around the Upper Valley is a daily routine for many community members, and we appreciate your patience as several important construction projects are underway in our service area.
These projects are essential for improving roads, sidewalks, and infrastructure, but they do come with short-term disruptions. We want to keep you in the loop so you can plan your trips with confidence. Here’s what you need to know.
Construction in West Lebanon, NH
The biggest impacts to Advance Transit service right now are happening in West Lebanon, where extensive road work is in progress. This includes lane closures, detours, and sidewalk upgrades near key travel corridors.
As a result, Advance Transit’s West Lebanon bus stop (#55) at the Kilton Public Library has relocated to the Kilton Library side of Tracy Street. The Red, Green, Orange, and Yellow buses are staging there, and riders should wait on that side of the Kilton Library.
Please look for posted directions to the nearest temporary stop—or check our website for the most current information.
Please note that construction projects are happening throughout our service area and delays may occur during peak construction hours.
Construction and Increased Foot Traffic in Hanover, NH
Several ongoing construction projects in and around Hanover are contributing to slower traffic flow, particularly during peak hours. These projects are essential for improving local infrastructure—but in the short term, they can cause backups and delays that affect our buses, especially in the downtown area.
Along with construction, the start of school brings additional pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles sharing the streets, which may slow down buses as we prioritize safety and make sure everyone gets where they need to go smoothly.
While we always strive to stay on schedule, the following routes may experience occasional delays during peak hours:
- Dartmouth-Hanover Downtown Shuttle
- Brown Route
- Green Route
- Orange Route
- Yellow Route
