Celebrate Earth Week with a Behind-the-Scenes Tour at Advance Transit!

This Earth Week, Advance Transit is excited to open our doors and give the Upper Valley a closer look at how fare-free public transit can help protect our planet. On Friday, April 24th, join us for a special behind-the-scenes tour of our transit operations center in White River Junction, Vermont, and see firsthand the eco-friendly practices that make our service green from the ground up.

During the tour, you’ll learn about how we:

  • Operate electric buses, reducing emissions while keeping our communities connected
  • Maintain a LEED-certified building designed with energy efficiency in mind
  • Harvest rainwater to wash our buses sustainably
  • Recycle used motor oil into a heat source for our facility
  • Use a solar array to help power our LEED-certified operations center

The tour will last about 20 minutes, with time for questions and a peek at how your local fare-free transit system keeps our region moving in a planet-friendly way.

We’ll be offering two tour times on Friday, April 24th:

  • 10:00 AM
  • 2:00 PM

Space is limited, so make sure to pre-register to secure your spot: Sign up here.

Come celebrate Earth Week with us and see how small steps on your local buses add up to a big difference for our planet. We can’t wait to share our green practices and show you around!
