Advance Transit Celebrates New Rider-Friendly Website
One month ago, on August 19th, we unveiled our brand new website: advancetransit.com. The new website was thoughtfully designed with one goal in mind: make riding the bus as easy and intuitive as possible. From clearer route details to real-time bus tracking, it’s a whole new experience for riders—modern, accessible, and mobile-friendly.
Behind the scenes, this exciting project was brought to life by Station Four, a digital agency with a strong track record of building user-friendly tools for public transit systems. Station Four has partnered with numerous transit agencies over the years, including the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), helping each one develop websites and digital platforms that prioritize rider experience, accessibility, and real-time information. Their extensive experience meant they were well-equipped to understand the unique needs of both Advance Transit and its community of riders.
What’s New on the Website?
Here’s a quick look at some of the key features and improvements:
- · Simplified Trip Planning: A cleaner, more intuitive interface makes it easier than ever to plan your bus journeys.
- · Enhanced Route & Schedule Information: Finding the right bus and knowing when it arrives is now faster and more straightforward.
- · Real-Time Service Alerts: Stay informed with up-to-the-minute updates on route changes, delays, and other important notices.
- · Interactive Live Service Map: Riders can track buses in real time on a dynamic map. Thanks to new 5G modems installed in every bus, the real-time data is more accessible than ever before.
- · Points of Interest Map: Want to know what you can explore by bus? The site now features key destinations and attractions across the Upper Valley—making transit not just practical, but fun.
- · Improved Search Functionality: Looking for a specific stop or schedule? A more powerful and intuitive search tool helps you get there faster.
“Feedback from community members is so important to us at Advance Transit,” said Adams Carroll, Executive Director. “We often hear people tell us that they want clear, easy-to-use options for getting information about public transit. We’re launching this new website to empower our riders with tools to make their travel experience with Advance Transit as smooth as possible.”
Built for the Community, With the Community in Mind
The website redesign was funded by a federal grant for public transit capital projects, administered by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation. The new 5G modem technology—key to improved access to service information—was made possible through a Mobility and Transportation Innovation grant from the Vermont Agency of Transportation.
Whether you’re a daily rider or just hopping on for the first time, the new Advance Transit website is here to make your experience more convenient, reliable, and enjoyable.
So go ahead—explore the new advancetransit.com today and see how easy it is to get where you’re going.
