Advance Transit COVID-19 Update

March 17, 2020

We have been notified by the NH Department of Health and Human Services that one of our drivers on the Access AT ADA Paratransit Service tested positive for COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.  The vehicle that the driver was operating last week has already been sanitized and the driver is under quarantine.

DHHS has requested contact information for any employee or customer who was on the bus or in our headquarters last week and will be contacting anyone who may have been in close contact with the driver.  If you are experiencing symptoms such as a fever, respiratory illness, aches or fatigue, please stay home and away from others and contact a healthcare provider.

The new coronavirus continues to spread across our country, indicating that people need to follow recommendations to protect their health. If you are not contacted by DHHS, please monitor your health for symptoms and self-quarantine and contact a healthcare provider if you develop symptoms.

The safety of our passengers and employees is Advance Transit’s utmost concern.  To prevent further spread of the disease please do the following:

  1. Stay home if you feel sick.
  2. Frequently wash your hands.
  3. Clean frequently touched surfaces with a disinfecting wipe.
  4. While on the bus maintain as much distance as possible between you and other people on the bus, including the driver.

We will continue to sanitize buses each evening.

If it becomes necessary to change transit schedules information will be posted on our website.

Thank you for your attention and take care.
